Daria McKenzie is a highly trained beauty expert with over six years of experience working in the spa & salon industry. Her extensive education, background, and licensing include Licensed Eyelash Specialist, Master instructor, and Salon and Spa Management. After receiving her License in 2013 and becoming one of the first Eyelash Specialist in the DFW area, Daria opened Lavishing Lashes/Total Escape Day Spa in Duncanville, TX which specializes in pampering women with the best service in lash extensions, hair, facials, and massages in a luxurious spa setting. Daria has trained lash artists out of state and throughout the DFW area. As an educator and seeing the success of so many of her students after taking her classes and advise, she decided it was time to expand her business and opened another Lavishing Lashes Academy. Daria is a charming person with a wonderful friendly personality who gives great advice on what would work and look best for each and every client. She wants her students and clients to leave her establishments with the most amazing experience as possible.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This has been a smooth road because… I have learned how to be a good leader and I have been blessed with the ability to bring out the best in people. And in sharing my journey, I have inspired many of my students and clients while instilling in them a strong belief in themselves. I’m a people person who genuinely cares and my sincerity can be felt when I listen passionately as they share their thoughts, goals, and dreams. I always challenge myself to help them exercise their promise. I make sure they understand that the surest way to success is hard work and also that if you dedicate yourself to winning, and are committed to putting in the work you will soon be living your best life. And it is so gratifying to help and give back in ways that are in keeping with the ways I have been blessed.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success with being able to continue to see others grow into the person they thought they could never become. Changes live for the better.
I look at myself and tell myself all the time. To be a teacher. And to be known for inspiring my students to be more than they thought they could be.”
